2016 - CAMBRIDGE
This year Cambridge will host some Creative Reactions satellite events throughout the city including the science behind cocktails, and finish with a grand finale - a FREE exhibition on Thursday 26 May at St Barnabas Church, Mill Road Cambridge (registration is required, doors open 3pm, official event 6pm to 9pm).
We are also holding some Science Hits the Bar events with La Raza, looking at the molecular basis behind cocktails!
SORRY, BUT 'SCIENCE HITS THE BAR' EVENTS HAVE NOW SOLD OUT.
A REAL PINT OF SCIENCE ANYONE?
During their grand finale on Thursday, Creative Reactions Cambridge will be serving Science beer again, courtesy of Calverley's Brewery. Also be sure to look out for Science beer in some of the Cambridge venues during Pint of Science events.
In 2015, this science and art collaboration was displayed in a grand exhibition which had over 700 visitors in cambridge. A booklet for the event can be downloaded here.
We thank Microsoft Research for supporting Creative Reactions Cambridge. Microsoft Research Cambridge was set up in July 1997 with three researchers. Today over 100 researchers, mostly from Europe, are engaged in computer science research at the lab. The city of Cambridge, England, was the clear choice for the location of the facility because of its world-renowned reputation and its rich history as a centre of learning.
We are pleased to be teaming up with the Cambridge Creative Network again, and to welcome Urban Sketchers and Pivotal for the first time.
The Cambridge Creative Network exists to bring together many of the creative individuals and groups that work within the Cambridge area to promote their businesses through networking and advertising to the general public.
Pivotal are delighted to be participating in Creative Reactions; bringing people together through the arts is our favourite thing to do. Particularly, with a view to create starting points for conversation about social and environmental change.
