Intrigued by what a “digital twin” of a city is, and how this helps us plan for a more sustainable future? Did you know that the soil beneath our feet contains an entire world unseen to the naked eye? Join us to find out more about these exciting topics!

How might ‘digital twins’ of cities help us plan for a more sustainable future?

Dr Alistair Ford (Lecturer in Geospatial Data Analytics and Policy Academy Fellow)
How might climate change affect cities? How can urban areas achieve net zero targets? Both of these questions depend on where things are in our cities, both now and in the future. This talk will explore how a ‘digital twin’ of a city might help land-use planners to explore potential futures and move towards a more sustainable future.
