A coal and nuclear free Scotland: great news or dangerous experiment?

Professor Paul Younger (Professor & Rankine Chair of Engineering)
What is the future of the energy sector in the UK & Scotland? Is nuclear the evil resource it’s often made out to be? Are all ‘green’ technologies as clean as they claim to be? Renewable energy in Scotland from wind farms, hydro power plants and other clean technologies has provided its single largest source of electricity since 2004. Paul is the Rankine Chair of Engineering at the University of Glasgow and has produced many papers and reports for government on a number of environmental factors.
