Yet, in the world of research into mental health, the field of positive psychology (the scientific study of what makes happy people so very happy) is surprisingly new. Here, I’ll talk through some of the recent and most surprising findings about the keys to living a happy life, and provide a positive psychologist’s take on why our brains are regularly steering us in the wrong direction.
