Nuclear ambitions and tyrannical reigns front a willingness to fight for North Korea's estrangement from the South. Is there a need for cultural exchange to persuade national unification and what does this mean to those in the west? From nuclear crisis to an a very real environmental crisis; a lack of global action is leading to the 'rape' of the natural resources of South America with a huge environmental and human cost - all in the name of a quick buck.

The expansion of extractive industries, illegal logging and industrial agriculture in the Amazonian forest in South America has forced indigenous peoples out of their traditional territories, it has led to the deforestation of thousands of square miles and to land degradation and water pollution.

The North Korean Predicament: What, if anything, does it mean to us?

The past years have seen the constant presence of news stories about North Korea and its leader Kim Jong-un across UK media, following the very real threat of the ‘rogue’ state’s nuclear ambitions. However, little is said about the history of the country and its estrangement from the South. Given the recent thawing of relations following the Pyeongchang Olympics, Robin gives their view from South Korea on how ‘soft power’ in the form of cultural exchange might be more successful than bellicose threats, and, what this might actually mean to us in the UK.
