Space, robots, and other cool things

What is the current cutting edge in aerospace design? What does it require to get a vehicle in to orbit? What are some of the biggest challenges faced by organisations like the European Space Agency? Rene has a varied career attempting to solve a number of these problems, including working with organisations such as ESA, looking at engineering challenges that follow from the complex fluid dynamics occurring around these unique situations. In this talk Rene discusses a number of these challenges and some of the cutting edge research being undertaken at the University of Glasgow.
