Over three years after the adoption of the Paris Agreement, global investment in climate change mitigation, adaptation and putting economies on a more sustainable footing has reached new heights. However, efforts to date have really only scratched the surface and more information is needed. Little centralised, standardised and reliable data for developing and transition economies exists and is often difficult to access. This talk discusses the problems, proposes solutions and spells out a bold new vision for solving the climate crisis: the data revolution.
