Poppy's lab uses data, experiments and genetics to better understand neglected tropical diseases such as schistosomiasis, soil-transmitted helminths and onchocerciasis. In this talk, Poppy will introduce her fascinating research in the fight for health equality!

Jessie's talk will describe the human infective parasite Leishmania, and some of the technologies she is using to investigate how it replicates. Replication is essential to the cells’ survival, so by understanding this process, we have a better chance of knowing how to fight infection.
