Dream a little dream: Does dreaming have any function?

There is a lot of research on how REM sleep and Slow Wave Sleep help to store our emotional memories. Dreaming incorporates emotional memories from waking life, and some think that dreaming is involved in memory processes during sleep! This talk will explore whether this might be true or not, whether the consideration of dreams by the dreamer, when awake, can give us insights about our personal life and will discuss how supposed insights from dreams can be scientifically investigated.
