Love is a conundrum. Biological and social, objective and subjective, personal and public...come and hear from world-renowned evolutionary anthropologist, writer, and broadcaster, Anna Machin, as she introduces you to the unique phenomenon that is human love. Anna will also be selling signed book copies, so now's your chance to come along and grab yours!

The new science behind our closest relationships

Dr Anna Machin (Evolutionary anthropologist)
Anna will explore the genetics & neurochemistry that have evolved to ensure we engage with relationships critical for our survival, the spectrum of people we can love which is testament to our incredible brains, the data which shows that who we love is the biggest factor in our mental & physical wellbeing, & lastly, the forms of love which challenge the established rules of our society. This two-part talk will span the biology of love & the social rules of love which have consequences for all our experiences of love, & we will take a glimpse into the future to ask where will love take us next?
