Synergistic drug combination nanoparticles for cancer therapy

Multidrug therapy presents an opportunity to target multiple means of generating anticancer activity. A challenging aspect of combination therapy remains the distinct pharmacokinetics of independent compounds. The use of delivery systems such as nanoparticles for combinations represents a means to overcome this challenge via the simultaneous intracellular delivery of involved drugs. I will share some of the research I have been conducting on breast cancer and glioblastoma, including screening drug combinations, identifying mechanisms of action and investigating delivery systems for their use.
