Exoplanet Weather, or, how I learned to love the rainy UK

Stefan Lines (Postdoctoral Research Assistant, University of Exeter)
Fed up of the Great British weather? No worries! I'll explain how we work with the UK Met Office to explore the wildest weather in the Universe before taking you on a hypothetical holiday to planets both in our solar system and trillions of miles away to discover acid clouds, experience winds stronger than a hundred hurricanes and bask in merciless glass rain.

The Galactic Bar, or, why the Milky Way is like your local pub

Jenny Hatchell (Senior Lecturer in Astrophysics, University of Exeter)
Dr Hatchell is an observational astrophysicist from the University of Exeter. In this lighthearted but informative talk, she will hold a beer glass up to the Galaxy and demonstrate that what’s going on up there is not so different from what goes on down here.
