Blood Clots: Heroes or Villains?

Dr Thembaninkosi Gaule (Postdoctoral Research Fellow)
Blood clotting is a lifesaver, stopping bleeding when we’re injured. At its core is fibrinogen, which transforms into fibrin—a sticky "glue" that holds clots together. Other proteins then strengthen the clot, making it stable. But balance is key!
