How do you bridge the gap between science and the arts? In the most formal of our three events, we invite you to hear the experiences of collaboration between the arts and sciences from the experts who have done it! You will hear from Josh Wheatley and Tom Stanton about working on scoring a short film, and from Mehernusia Baig and Mark Platt about their creative collaboration for this festival.

Tom is a Research Fellow in Loughborough’s Department of Geography and Environment. His work looks at pollution in water environments, with a particular focus on material pollution. He also works with communities to understand the nature and impacts of marine litter on Scottish coastlines.
Josh and Tom connected to score the music for a twenty-minute documentary about Tom's research, filmed by Loughborough University's press team. This panel will explore the creative processes that went into the production of a visual and audio output to communicate scientific research.
