How can we turn waste into energy? Or mould materials on the nanoscale? Come along to hear about the creative research from engineers at QMUL for tackling climate change and creating brand-new materials for sustainable energy applications! You might just catch a glimpse into the future...

Farm-to-Table Energy

Dr Ana Jorge Sobrido (Reader in Sustainable Energy Materials, QMUL)
One man's trash is another man's treasure! I will give an overview of how we can transform biomass-waste into innovative energy materials to tackle climate change.

Building on the Nanoscale

Dr Petra Ágota Szilágyi (Senior Lecturer in Functional Materials)
My group develops porous materials for energy and environmental technology applications. We design new materials with pores as tiny as 1 Nanometer - that's narrower than a strand of human DNA!
