However, there are many examples where the incorrect person has been imprisoned for something that they may not have done. This presentation will explore a basic principle of forensic science and how the incorrect usage of this has led to miscarriages of justice.

Our food supply chains are often subject to illegal or immoral practices such as food fraud, counterfeiting, overuse of chemicals in agriculture or exploitation of labour. This is because the food sector offers highly profitable opportunities to criminal actors including corporate crime and organised crime. This talk provides an overview of the offences and perpetrators that commit food crimes as well as the public responses against them.
