Optimising the Blood Supply Chain Network Design in emergency situations

Lama Khaled Soliman (PhD Student)
The blood supply chain is a complex process that involves the collection, testing, processing, and distribution of blood and blood products to healthcare facilities. It requires a well-organized network of blood banks, donor centres, and transportation systems to ensure a safe and adequate supply of blood for patients in need. The process also involves strict quality control measures to ensure the safety of both donors and recipients. The aim of this talk is to identify the optimal locations for blood bank centres and allocate the blood products to patients in order to save cost and time.
