Identifying Novel Drivers of Clonal Selection in CEBPA-mutated AML: CEBPA is a transcription factor mutated in 10-15% of acute myeloid leukaemia patients (AML), with most patients presenting with two mutations with a distinct mutational pattern. We have used zebrafish mutants carrying these distinctive C-term and N-term mutations define the mechanism driving the selective pressure for this mutation combination and identified PTPRJ as a likely driver.

Understanding NK cell (dys)function in the progression of Smouldering Myeloma to Multiple Myeloma: Smouldering myeloma is an asymptomatic precursor condition, in which half of patients will go on to develop symptomatic multiple myeloma. Progression is thought to be accompanied by a progressive loss of tumour immune control. In this study, we aim to characterise the effect of disease on natural killer cells.

Application of Flow Cytometry in Cancer Research: Flow Cytometry is a powerful tool for single cells that has revolutionized our understanding of cancer biology, enabling us to delve deeper into the intricacies of cellular processes. In this short presentation, I will provide an update on cutting-edge technology and how our services at the UCL Cancer Institute Flow Cytometry Translational Technology Platform (TTP) support those groundbreaking discoveries in the fight against cancer.
