The Genetics of Human Intelligence and its Decline with Age
Dr Tony Payton
(Senior Lecturer in Healthcare Sciences, SentiraXR Director/Founder)
Dr Tony Payton is a researcher/Senior Lecturer at The University of Manchester (UoM). He is an author on 140 peer-reviewed publications including in the journals Nature and Nature Genetics. Tony is also Director of the Manchester Cognitive Genetics Ageing Cohort, and lead for the VR@manchester steering group which funds and coordinates AR/VR projects across UoM. He is Founder/Director of the UoM spinout SentiraXR (www.sentiraxr.com) which develops AR/VR healthcare training software (including dementia training).

The Role of Stress in Biological Ageing
Prof. Chris Murgatroyd
(Professor of Epigenetics)
Chris Murgatroyd is Professor of Epigenetics at Manchester Metropolitan University whose research explores how stress and adversity influence biological ageing through epigenetic mechanisms. He also leads the undergraduate unit “Physiology of Ageing,” where he teaches students about the biological processes underlying ageing and age-related disease.
