Courtney Riley
(Postgraduate Research Student)
Dr Jacobo Elies Gomez
(Associate Professor in Pharmacology)
More than forty cities in the UK (Bradford, Leeds and Manchester are in the top 10) exceed the officially set limits of air pollution. Smog and air pollutants have a dramatic impact on health and contribute to the development of serious respiratory and cardiovascular conditions (allergies and heart attacks). Courtney Riley and Jacobo Elies will talk about how air pollution can induce cardiac arrhythmias and how much can be done to change this.
