Do you gossip? (Of course you do!) But do you gossip linguistically accurately? What if I told you we gossip differently in different languages? Some languages use specific grammatical structures to show where information comes from, while others take a more relaxed approach. My research explores whether this affects how young children track information sources at a cognitive level. (Don’t worry—we didn’t actually ask children to gossip!)
