To celebrate and coincide with the release of Pint of Science 2018 tickets, Simon Foster will be moderating an open discussion on the importance of science communication in society, followed by a tour of the brewery and some cool scientific facts about beer making.

Misinterpretation and and the need to sell stories have worn out the relationship between the scientist and the layman, leading to the emerging of controversial social phenomena such as climate change denial and the anti-vax movement. Join us for a night of open discussion on the crucial role that effective science communication plays in our lives, and the responsibility of both the science community and the society in fighting the rise of the fake (science) news. The discussion will be followed by a tour of the Mondo Brewery, with fun insights into the science of beer!
