Mapping the brain

I work closely with Prof Giles Yeo and Dr John Tadross in mapping the appetitive centres of the brain in both mice and humans using modern single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics. Thomas Brown is a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Clemence Blouet, at the Institute of Metabolic Science. With an initial start in archaeology, he later left his career in ruins and started a new path studying brain growth and adaptation, hoping this might hold clues to how we can help the brain repair itself.

Manon Barbot is a postdoc in the lab of Clemence Blouet, at the Institute of Metabolic Science. She joined the Blouet lab 10 months ago and studies how the brain regulates body weight and blood sugar, with a special interest in glial cells.
