ReMIND Museums
Dr Francesca Lanz
(Senior Lecturer in Interior Architecture and Design)
What do people remember of their museum visits? How do visitors remember their museum experience and make sense of it? What bodies, interfaces, technologies and devices are active within acts of remembering? This talk will discuss the adaptive reuse of former asylums as 'mind museums' and visitors' memories of their visits.
Treknology - the influence of Star Trek on real-life science and technology

This talk will look at the main influences Star Trek has had on technology and scientific thinking over the years, and explore how it incorporates the latest thinking and engineering in its shows and films.
