Feeling the Familiar: How Music Elicits Emotions

Sarah Campbell (PhD Candidate)
Sarah is a psychologist with expertise in music psychology, emotion, well-being and research and data analysis. She worked in the music industry as a product manager at an independent record label as well as a promoter and an artist. She was educated at educated at the University of Surrey where she set-up a student enterprise to enhance the use of technology, innovation and business networking for students, developing relationships with Ferrari F1 and Apple. She will talk about her current work which looks at music, emotion and well-being.

Dr Nayantara Santhi (Research Fellow)
Nayantara works at the Surrey Sleep Research Centre, home to forward-thinking multidisciplinary approaches to sleep research. Recently her work has focused on the causes, consequences and treatment of circadian rhythm (your biological clock) disorders as experienced by shift workers. Come and find out about how sleeping at unnatural times affects your brain and body.
