Combining electronics and biology: Can we engineer our biology?

Biotechnology is ever developing and improving our diagnostic and therapeutic landscape; however, we can only achieve so much following conventional methods and trends. Cyborgs have long been prevalent in science fiction along with some amazingly cool technology that can, for example, print replacement body parts; but are we any closer to this becoming a reality? In this talk, we will explore the evolving world of bioprinting and bioelectronics, and see how an unconventional sci-fi approach can offer us technologies only seen in movies.
