This talk explores the spectre of 'Mancunian identity' through the lens of sociology. We unpick what a Mancunian identity might consist of and discuss representations of this identity and the impacts that these representations have. The presentation will draw on a range of examples from media, popular culture, and history, alongside statistics and research to delve deeply in to what it means to be Mancunian.
