City Co-ordinator
I’m a Chemistry PhD student working on diversifying organic scaffolds using light catalysis. I love science communication and foreign languages spending my evenings reading popular science magazines from many countries. Outside of lab I’m a huge fan of dancing.
Rosha Dcruz
Comms Officer
I am a surface science PhD student in the School of Chemistry working in the laboratory at the School of Physics. I study the structure and properties of fullerenes using scanning probe techniques. If not in the STM lab, I will be baking or jogging in and around St. Andrews or on a random hill walk.

Web Manager
I am an anatomy demonstrator in the University of St Andrews Medical School. I hold Anatomical Sciences BSc (Hons) and I am currently finishing my MSc (Res), both from the University of Dundee.
Holly (Hanbee) Seo
Creative Reactions Event Manager
I’m Holly, a second-year PhD student studying astrophysics. I research how galaxy formation and their dark matter halos are connected, using simulations and observational data. I was a speaker at last year’s PoS and am excited to be part of the organising team this year.
Ava Kelly
Creative Reactions
I’m a biophysics PhD student working on computational methods to improve imaging of biological structures at tiny scales. Outside of trying to debug my code, I enjoy playing music, especially playing fiddle in a local ceilidh band. I also love learning to dance, reading, and doing escape rooms!
Rhona Hamilton
Creative Reactions
With a background in experimental physics, I’m currently exploring the world of biophysics and neuroscience in my PhD. At any given moment I’m probably drinking a coffee, listening to an audiobook, and/or thinking about my cats.
Lily Kemmitt
Planet Earth Event Manager
I am a master's student with the School of Earth and Environmental Science with a background in Biological Sciences. I am interested in Environmental Chemistry and Earth Processes.
Daphné Lemasquerier
Planet Earth
I'm a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow at St Andrews, in the School of Maths and Stats. I work on modelling the fluid dynamics of oceans, atmospheres and deep interiors of planets beyond Earth. I love to combine lab experiments with simulations and theory, and use record player demos to talk about it!
Hồng-Yên (Erin) NGUYỄN
Planet Earth
I am passionate about turning complex science into stories that people actually want to hear. I love meticulous planning, chaotic humor, and the occasional spontaneous adventure.
Garima
Atoms to Galaxies Event Manager
I am a PhD student in chemistry working on polymer synthesis and depolymerisation. I enjoy thinking about how science connects with everyday life and the wider world beyond the lab. Outside of research, hanging out with friends is an important and joyful part of my life.
Sophia Lozano
Atoms to Galaxies
Second year Chemistry PhD student studying polymer recycling. Passionate about public engagement, learning, science and research!
David Cordes
Atoms to Galaxies
I run the Molecular Structure lab in the School of Chemistry. Here we use the technique of X-ray crystallography to find out the structure and atomic connectivity of many of the new compounds made by researchers. When not in the lab I'm most often found enjoying a good book.
