Myths and legends off the North Norfolk Coast. Recently, there has been a surge of interest in our marine environment. People are realising that the southern North Sea isn’t just brown and murky. We have our very own chalk beds, the largest in Europe, dubbed ‘Norfolk’s Great Barrier Reef’. You can snorkel from the shore to the abundant marine life in a garden of beautiful seaweed. Let’s go on a whistle stop tour of what’s really there and why we need to care about what most of us will never see.
All About the Bass
Dr Ewan Hunter
(Fish Ecologist, CEFAS)
Ewan will give an accessible account of current research aimed at better understanding the biology of the European sea bass, including the distribution, migrations and behaviour of bass in UK waters. Information will be provided on how everyone can get involved.
