In this talk, we will introduce psychotic experiences, psychosis, and schizophrenia. We will explore the range of experiences of psychosis people may have and then detail schizophrenia further, busting the myths as we go.

To what extent is schizophrenia genetic?

What can genetics tell us about the neurobiology of schizophrenia?

One of the main reasons for studying the genetics of schizophrenia is to gain an understanding of its biological causes, which could lead to better treatment options. This talk will consider historical attempts to elucidate the biological underpinnings of schizophrenia and recent insights provided by large-scale genetic studies.
